"Rules" - Points

Every group / club etc. needs some "rules" so do we.
The Samba Canasta Group LeHa Concists of friendly persons who just want to have a nice afternoon.
It is very much appreciated by our treasurer Harm if you pay your € 1,- table money before you start playing.
Because it is a social club in Spain where everybody is welcome there are
several nationalities playing so we try to use English as our common language.
But we would appreciate it very much if English speaking members would
make an effort to try to communicate with the non English speakers.
THE START OF AN AFTERNOON
At the start time (13:00) every player present draws a card.
Ace = Table 1, 2 = Table 2, etc.
When a table is complete you can start playing.
If you cannot make it, or not in time, please send us a message.
Later than 13:00
If you cn not make it, or not in time, (see The Start Of An Afternoon)
that's no problem of course but please inform us.
A hand
A hand is playing the cards dealt, regardless of the points required for that round.
A Table
A table (ideally) consists of 4 players who play in pairs.
Drawing a card to swap
When “a table” finishes “a hand” ALL players
draw a card (wildcards are not valid)
and the highest card(s) change places with the player(s) “sitting out”
Players may not decide “we” will leave without drawing a card.
Drawing a card can break up partnerships, which is exactly what we want,
because everybody has to play with and/or against everybody
no matter his/her speed, language, colour, level etc.
Sitting out time:
Due to this system, we try to make “sitting out” as short as possible,
so it could be that players who are going to “sit out” can change places
with another table within in 1 or 2 minutes.
Scoring
When changing places with players who were “sitting out”
the “scorer” explains to the new scorer which points belong to who
because they continue with the existing scores.
This happened once:
If it happens that the stock & the discard pile are empty we made the decicion that:
After the last card(s) is/are played, everybody scores his/her Bonus points, red 3's, Samba's, Canasta and/or Bolivia's and start with a new hand.
The only exception
ONLY in this situation is
NOBODY looses his/her 1 Canasta, Samba, Bolivia points
and the Red 3's on the table are NOT negative.
Only because this is a very unusuall situation.
